Carbide holds an edge longer than standard bi-metal blades, and that's the main draw with this Diablo 1-1/4" oscillating blade set. You get three blades per pack, each built for general purpose cutting where a plunge blade needs to bite into wood, plastic, or mixed materials without dulling after a few cuts.
The universal fit is worth noting: these blades work on non-Starlock oscillating multi-tools from AEG, Bosch, Festool, Makita, Metabo, Milwaukee, Ridgid, and Rockwell, so you're not locked into a single tool brand to keep a supply on hand. With a 1-1/2" cutting depth and 1-1/4" cutting width, they're sized for detail work, flush cuts, and tight spaces where a full-size blade won't reach.
