This 5-3/8" blade is built for cutting aluminum, not wood, so if you're running a compact cordless or corded saw on metal siding, flashing, extrusions, or trim, this is the blade to swap in. The 50-tooth TCG (triple chip grind) pattern is the standard for non-ferrous metal work - it shears through material cleanly instead of grabbing or tearing, and it holds an edge longer than a standard ATB grind when cutting aluminum's softer, gummier surface.
Diablo builds the teeth from TiCo Hi-Density Carbide, a denser carbide that resists the heat and wear that comes with metal cutting, so the blade stays sharp through more cuts. The -5 degree hook angle is a negative angle, which keeps the blade from climbing or self-feeding into the material - important for control when you're cutting aluminum at speed. Rated up to 14,500 RPM and sized for 5-3/8" saws with a 20mm arbor, this is a direct fit for compact trim and metal-cutting saws already in that size class.
