About Product Overview

Fiber cement siding is brutally abrasive on regular carbide blades, which is why Diablo built the HardieBlade with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips instead. The low 4-tooth count and triple chip grind (TCG) design clear material fast without loading up or burning, giving the blade a much longer working life than standard carbide when cutting fiber cement board, trim, and siding products.

At 7-1/4 in. with a 5/8 in. arbor, this blade drops into the circular saws most crews already own for siding work. A 10-degree hook angle and thin 0.071 in. kerf keep cuts controlled and reduce strain on the saw, while the PCD tips hold their edge through the silica content that chews up ordinary blades in a matter of cuts. Rated to 10,000 RPM, it's built for the pace of a real jobsite, not occasional use. Anyone installing or trimming HardiePlank, HardieBoard, or similar fiber cement products will get more cuts per blade and cleaner results than a standard carbide-tipped blade delivers.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Diablo. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
