About Product Overview

The Rebar Demon name on this Diablo bit isn't just branding - it points to what this 1-1/2" SDS-Max bit is built for: punching through concrete that's loaded with rebar, without giving out halfway through the job. The carbide tip holds an edge through repeated hammer-drill impacts, and the SDS-Max shank locks into rotary hammers built for heavy masonry work, not light-duty drills.

At 21" overall with a 16" flute, it reaches through thick walls, footings, and slabs where a standard-length bit would come up short. This is a bit for contractors and remodelers doing anchor holes, conduit runs, or utility penetrations in reinforced concrete - work where bit failure means a stalled job, not just a dull edge. Made in Germany and sold carded, one bit per package.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Diablo. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
