The Rebar Demon sub-line from Diablo is built for one job: chewing through concrete that's got rebar hiding inside it, without stopping to switch bits. This 1-1/8" carbide-tipped bit runs on an SDS-Plus shank, so it locks straight into your rotary hammer and takes full advantage of the hammering action instead of fighting it.
At 18" overall with a 16" flute length, it's long enough to punch through thick walls, footings, and slabs in one pass. The carbide construction holds an edge through mixed material - straight concrete or concrete with steel in the way - which is exactly the situation this bit is engineered around. Manufactured in Germany, it's suited for contractors and serious DIYers doing anchor holes, conduit runs, or utility penetrations where hitting rebar mid-hole is a real possibility, not an exception.
