Thick metal cutting wears down ordinary recip blades fast, which is why Diablo built the Steel Demon Amped line with carbide-tipped teeth instead of standard bi-metal. The carbide tips hold an edge through the kind of demolition and fabrication work that chews through lesser blades - thick plate, structural steel, pipe, and other heavy stock where a dull blade means a stalled job. The 6/9 variable tooth pitch gives you an aggressive bite for fast material removal while still tracking clean through the cut. At 6 inches long with a 9/16-inch thick body, these blades have the rigidity to resist wandering and flexing under load, which matters when you're pushing through dense material. Each pack comes with three carded blades, so you've got backups on hand for the next job instead of stopping mid-project to restock.
