Composite decking and cellular PVC cut differently than wood, and standard blades tend to melt the material or leave a ragged, chipped edge. The Diablo TrexBlade addresses that directly with an 84-tooth count and M-TCG (modified triple-chip) grind, which shears through composite fibers instead of tearing them, leaving a cleaner edge on deck boards, fascia, and PVC trim.
The TiCo Hi-Density Carbide teeth hold an edge longer against the abrasive fillers found in composite decking, and the -3 degree hook angle keeps the blade from grabbing or chipping brittle PVC as it cuts. At 12 inches, it's sized for miter saws and table saws handling larger decking projects, board removal, or PVC fabrication work. This is a job-specific blade for contractors and serious DIYers doing composite deck builds or PVC trim work, not a general-purpose wood blade.
