About Product Overview

When a battery dies, the DieHard Jumpstarter 1150A gets you back on the road without waiting on a tow truck or flagging down a neighbor with cables. It delivers 1150 amps at 12 volts through a built-in deep cycle lead acid battery, so it's ready to go whether it's parked in the garage or riding in the trunk. This is a handheld unit, no wheels to deal with, and at just under 18 pounds it's manageable for most people to carry out to a dead car.

Safety features do a lot of the thinking for you. Reverse polarity protection guards against hooking up the clamps backwards, and the automatic delay shutoff cuts power at the right time instead of leaving it to guesswork. A built-in battery test function lets you check charge level before you're stuck needing it. It's built for one battery at a time, which covers the standard jump-start job most drivers actually need.
