Cortex hidden deck fasteners from FastenMaster are built to leave your decking free of visible screw heads, giving composite or wood deck boards a clean, finished look from every angle. Each 5 lb contractor bucket holds 224 steel screws with an epoxy coating to stand up to outdoor exposure, plus matching plastic plugs are typically part of the Cortex system for filling and color-matching the drive holes. The coarse thread and self-tapping design bite into decking material without a pre-drilled pilot hole, while the Torx TTap drive gives you a solid bit connection and less cam-out when you're working through a full pallet of boards.
Sized for 2-1/2" fastening, this pack is meant for contractors and serious DIYers tackling a full deck build rather than small patch jobs. The saddle color is designed to blend with common composite decking tones, and the button head sits low for a smoother surface underfoot.
