About Product Overview

The Cortex system from FastenMaster is built to fasten deck boards without leaving a field of screw heads behind. This No. 10 button head screw drives with a Torx Ttap bit for a clean, slip-resistant connection, and the coarse thread is self-tapping into wood decking without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Epoxy coating stands up to weather and moisture, which matters since this is an outdoor-rated fastener made for deck framing and board attachment. The Toasted Sand color is meant to blend with matching composite decking tones rather than stand out. This contractor pack holds 224 screws in a bucket, giving builders and remodelers enough supply to move through a deck job without stopping to restock mid-project.
