About Product Overview

The Cortex system from FastenMaster pairs a structural deck screw with a matching color plug, so you get the hold of a screw without the exposed fastener heads dotting your decking. Each 2-3/4 inch screw drives with a Torx Ttap star bit (included) and cuts its own path with dual-thread, self-tapping design—no pre-drilling required. Once set, the plug snaps in over the screw head, leaving a clean, continuous surface across the deck boards.
