About Product Overview

When you're decking a whole backyard or running a crew through multiple jobs, buying screws one box at a time doesn't cut it. This bucket of 1750 FastenMaster GuardDog deck screws keeps you stocked without the constant runs back to the store. Each screw is a 3" No. 10 with a self-drilling tip, so you can drive straight into deck boards and joists without pre-drilling pilot holes first. The coarse thread grabs hard into wood, and the bugle head sits flush without tearing up the surface around it.

The Torx Ttap drive resists cam-out and stripping better than a standard Phillips head, which matters when you're setting hundreds of screws in a day, and FastenMaster includes a matching driver bit right in the bucket. Built from steel and finished in gold, these are made for outdoor decking work and sized to last through a full project without running short.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Fastenmaster. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
