This 8" No. 10 screw from FastenMaster is self-drilling with a coarse thread, so it bites straight into wood without needing a pilot hole, saving a step on every connection you make. The hex head takes a hex drive for solid, no-strip torque when you're sinking long screws into dense or engineered lumber.
