About Product Overview

This First Alert carbon monoxide detector plugs straight into a standard 120-volt outlet, so there's no wiring and no guesswork on placement. A 9-volt battery back-up keeps it monitoring even if the power drops, which matters most during storms when portable generators and space heaters get used. The electrochemical sensor is built to sense CO accurately, and the test/reset button lets you confirm it's working with one press.
