About Product Overview

Forney's E7018AC electrode is a low-hydrogen rod built for welders who need clean, strong welds on mild steel and can't afford porosity or cracking. The low-hydrogen coating keeps moisture out of the weld puddle, which matters most on structural work, pressure vessels, and any job where weld integrity gets inspected. Running AC/DC gives you flexibility to match whatever machine you've got set up, and the 84,000 psi tensile strength puts it solidly in the E7018 class for general fabrication, repair, and structural steel work.

At 1/8" diameter and 15" length, this is a workhorse size suited to a wide range of plate thicknesses. It comes boxed at 40 lbs, so you're set up for a full job or shop stock without running back for more mid-project. Made in the USA.
