This Globe Electric recessed downlight skips the bulky housing altogether. It's a canless design, meaning the LED module and trim are built as one slim unit that mounts directly into the ceiling cutout, no separate can required. That ultra-slim profile makes it a good fit for tight ceiling spaces where a traditional recessed can won't clear joists or insulation.
Rated IC (insulation contact), it can be installed in direct contact with attic insulation without a fire risk, and it's built to work in both new construction and remodel projects. The 4" aperture with white trim gives a clean, low-profile look for kitchens, hallways, hobby rooms, or anywhere you want even, energy-efficient light without a lot of ceiling hardware.
