These are heavy-duty landscape and structural spikes, not finish nails - 10 inches long with a 3/8" shank built to hold together landscape timbers, fence posts, deck framing, and other outdoor projects that take a beating from weather and load. The hot-dipped galvanized finish resists rust outdoors, so the spike holds its grip in ground contact and exposed applications where a standard nail would corrode.
