This 50-pound box of Grip-Rite 12D sinker nails is built for framing crews and builders who go through nails by the thousands, not the handful. Each nail is vinyl-coated, which lets it drive faster and with less resistance than a bare steel nail, then grips tight once it's set. The countersunk head means the nail can be driven flush or slightly below the surface, so you're not fighting a proud head when you're finishing up framing or rough carpentry work.
The diamond point and smooth shank are standard sinker construction, made to punch through framing lumber without splitting it.
