About Product Overview

Grip-Rite's 4D masonry nails are built to bite into concrete, block, and brick without bending or shearing off mid-drive. The tempered hardened steel construction stands up to the abuse of driving into hard masonry surfaces, while the fluted shank bites into the material for a grip that resists pull-out once it's set. The blunt point is a deliberate choice here - it reduces the chance of shattering masonry on impact, which a sharp point tends to do.

At 1.5 inches long with a 5/16" flat head, these are sized for securing furring strips, trim, and light fixtures to masonry walls and floors, indoors or out. This 50-lb box holds roughly 6,400 nails, making it a practical buy for contractors and crews working through larger masonry fastening jobs rather than a single weekend project.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Grip-Rite. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
