These No. 8 x 1/2" hex washer head screws from Hillman are built for sheet metal work, especially thin metal and ductwork where a self-tapping screw needs to bite fast without pre-drilling. The needle point starts easily, and the coarse thread pulls tight into thin gauge metal for a secure hold. A slotted drive and hex washer head give you a wide bearing surface plus the option to snug things down with a wrench when a screwdriver isn't enough. Zinc plating stands up to indoor use, and the box of 100 keeps you stocked for ductwork runs, sheet metal repairs, and similar jobs around the shop or job site.
