INSL-X Waterproofer is a clear, water-based sealer made for above-ground wood surfaces that need protection without changing their look. Because it goes on transparent, it's a good fit for decks, fences, and other exterior wood where you want the grain to stay visible rather than covered up. Coverage varies with how porous the wood is, so plan for anywhere from 50 to 300 square feet per gallon depending on the surface.
