About Product Overview

The IRWIN Marathon 10" 40T is built for general-purpose ripping and crosscutting on table and miter saws, striking a balance between speed and clean edges that makes it a go-to blade for framing crews and weekend woodworkers alike. The ATB (alternate top bevel) grind pattern shears wood fibers cleanly on both sides of the cut, cutting down on splintering whether you're working with dimensional lumber or sheet goods. A 20-degree hook angle keeps the blade feeding smoothly through material without grabbing, and the carbide teeth hold an edge through repeated cuts far longer than steel. At a 0.095" kerf, it removes less material per pass, which means less strain on your saw motor and less waste on long rip cuts. With a 5/8" arbor, it drops onto standard 10" table and miter saws without an adapter.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Irwin. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Shop Local · Support Independent

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
