About Product Overview

This KILZ water-based primer and sealer is built for the times when you need one product to lock down stains, even out porous surfaces, and get a wall ready for topcoat without switching products mid-job. The acrylic formula blocks stains before they bleed through your finish coat, and because it's tintable, you can get closer to your final color before the paint even goes on. At 1500-2000 square feet of coverage per 5-gallon container, it's sized for whole rooms or multi-room jobs rather than small patch work.

It goes on with a brush, roller, or sprayer, dries enough to recoat in about an hour, and reaches full cure in 7 days. Cleanup is just soap and water, and it's rated for multiple interior surfaces, so it works across drywall, wood, and other common substrates in the same job.
