About Product Overview

Kreg's MortiseMate is a mortise and tenon jig built for joinery work that used to require a router table setup, a lot of test cuts, or both. It's designed to guide clean, repeatable mortise and tenon joints, which are among the strongest wood joints available for furniture, doors, and frame-and-panel work where long-term strength matters more than speed.

The jig body is stainless steel, so it holds up to shop use without rusting or wearing at the edges the way a plastic or basic-alloy jig would over time. It's built by Kreg under their MortiseMate sub-brand, and it's rated for use with plywood in addition to solid stock, which widens what you can join with it.
