The San Clemente handleset from Kwikset pairs a full metal build with a Matte Black finish for a front entry that looks substantial and locks down tight. It's rated Grade 1, the highest security classification for residential hardware, which means better resistance to forced entry than the Grade 2 or 3 sets found on most standard doors. This is a keyed entry handleset, so it's built to be the main lock on an exterior door, not a passage or privacy set for interior use.
It fits doors between 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 inches thick with a 2-3/8 to 2-3/4 inch backset, covering the standard range for most residential exterior doors, and comes set up for right-handed door installation. Two keys ship in the box so you're ready to hand out spares or get new locks cut right away.
