About Product Overview

The Kwikset Dakota handleset pairs classic Polo-style lever styling with SmartKey technology, giving homeowners and contractors a straightforward way to re-key the lock themselves in seconds without pulling the cylinder. It's built as a single-cylinder entry set, so you get keyed security on the outside and simple turn-locking on the inside, backed by an adjustable backset that lets it fit standard door prep without extra hardware.

Rated ANSI/BHMA Grade 3, this is a fit for everyday entry doors on houses, garages, or light commercial spaces rather than high-traffic storefronts. The satin nickel finish covers a steel handleset and nickel faceplate, and trim rings are included to dress out the installation cleanly. It works on doors from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick and installs as left- or right-handed, so one unit covers either door swing.
