The Makita XDT14Z is an 18V LXT impact driver built around a brushless motor and three speed settings, giving you control whether you're driving small trim screws or muscling through lag bolts. With 1500 in-lbs of torque and up to 3800 impacts per minute, it has the punch to handle framing, decking, and general construction work without bogging down.
The compact 4-5/8" length and brushless design make it easier to work in tight stud bays or overhead spots where a full-size driver won't fit, and the built-in LED lights up dark work areas so you're not fumbling for a flashlight. This is the bare tool only, so it's a good fit for anyone already running Makita LXT batteries and chargers who wants to add or replace a driver in their lineup without paying for gear they already own.
