About Product Overview

Makita built this 18V compact reciprocating saw for the jobs where a full-size recip saw is overkill but a hand saw won't cut it. At 3.9 lbs and 15-5/8 inches long, it's a tool you can run one-handed overhead, in a cabinet, or in tight framing bays without your arm giving out halfway through the cut. The trigger switch gives you direct control, and a keyless blade change means you're not hunting for a hex key between cuts.

Power comes from Makita's 18V LXT lithium-ion platform, delivering 3,000 strokes per minute and a 1/2-inch stroke length - enough bite for demo work, plumbing and electrical rough-ins, or general remodeling cuts through wood and metal. It's tool-only, so it's built to slot into an existing LXT battery collection rather than force you to buy a whole new kit. UL Listed for safety compliance, and backed by Makita's 3-year warranty.
