About Product Overview

The M12 Hackzall packs reciprocating-saw cutting power into an 11" one-handed tool, which is exactly the point. Milwaukee built the Hackzall line for jobs where a full-size recip saw is overkill and a hacksaw is too slow - trimming pipe, cutting through nail-embedded wood, notching studs, or working in tight spots where you need one hand free to steady yourself. At 2.6 lbs it runs all day without wearing out your arm, and the keyless blade change means you're not fumbling with a hex key mid-job.

Power comes from Milwaukee's M12 system, and the electric brake stops the blade fast once you release the trigger, which matters when you're working close to hands, hoses, or wiring. A brushed motor drives 3000 strokes per minute with a 0.5" stroke length - enough to move through the materials this saw is meant for without stalling out. This is a tool-only listing, so it's built for anyone already running M12 batteries who wants a dedicated one-hand cutting tool in the truck or tool bag.

  • 11" overall length, 2.6 lbs tool weight
  • M12 Lithium-Ion cordless platform (tool only, battery sold separately)
  • 3000 strokes per minute, 0.5" stroke length
  • Keyless blade change for fast bit swaps
  • Electric brake stops the blade quickly on trigger release
  • 5-year Milwaukee warranty via vendor internet sales policy

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.

Ask our counter. Or theirs.

Most hardware stores can do more than you think. If we can't help you, the folks down the street probably can — just ask at the counter.

Their Counter
Try local first · we'll wait

The stores we send you to are local and independently run — often for generations, the kind of place where someone behind the counter knows the regulars. We don't own them. We just think they deserve the foot traffic. They can put most of what we sell on their next truck. Ask there before you check out here.

About our directory. National Hardware Group is an independent retailer and directory. The local stores we list and link to are separately owned and operated — we have no ownership stake in any of them, and most pay us nothing to be included. That includes plenty of stores flying a familiar banner that people don't realize are locally owned and run, not operated by a corporation. Store owners can choose to upgrade their listing for an enhanced presence or pickup features, but the base directory is free, and inclusion is never a paid endorsement.
