About Product Overview

This Mueller dielectric union solves a common plumbing problem: connecting steel pipe to copper tubing without setting up galvanic corrosion between the two metals. The 3/4 in. MIP end threads into iron pipe while the 1/2 in. sweat end solders to copper, with the union's insulating barrel keeping the dissimilar metals from reacting where they meet. Low-lead brass/copper/steel construction meets potable water requirements for heating and plumbing lines.
