About Product Overview

This NIBCO copper union lets you join two 1-1/2 in. copper lines with sweat connections on both ends, and take them apart again later without cutting pipe. That's the real advantage of a union over a standard coupling - when a water heater, pump, or fixture needs service down the road, you unscrew the joint instead of sweating in a whole new section of pipe.
