About Product Overview

This NIBCO reducing tee steps a 1-inch copper run down to a 1/2-inch branch, making it the fitting you reach for when a supply line needs to feed a smaller fixture or connection without changing the main pipe size. All three ends are sweat-solder connections, so it sweats into copper pipe with standard soldering technique for a permanent, leak-tight joint. It's lead-free and NSF listed, so it's approved for potable water lines, and it handles working pressure up to 494 PSI and temperatures up to 400°F, well beyond what typical residential plumbing sees.
