This acid core wire solder from Oatey is built for metal joining jobs that call for a 40/60 tin/lead alloy, not plumbing that carries drinking water. The acid core flux is active enough to cut through oxidation on sheet metal and other non-potable metal work, giving you a clean, solid joint once it melts at 460°F. Sold as a single 16 oz spool with a 0.125" wire diameter, it's sized for regular shop use rather than one-off repairs.
