About Product Overview

Gel stains go on thick and stay put, which makes Old Masters Gel Stain in Cedar a good pick for vertical surfaces, doors, and furniture where a thin liquid stain would just run. This alkyd-based formula wipes on with a brush, cloth, or rag and gives wood a semi-transparent brown tone that lets the grain show through. It's rated for indoor and outdoor use, so it works on everything from cabinets to porch railings, and a half-pint covers 62.5 to 75 square feet.
