About Product Overview

A fireplace grate lifts your logs off the floor of the firebox so air can move underneath the fire, which helps wood burn hotter, cleaner, and more completely. This one from Open Hearth is cast from solid iron, heavy enough to carry a full load of wood and take years of direct flame without warping the way lighter steel grates can.

At 29-3/4 inches wide and 15 inches deep, it fits most standard masonry fireplaces, and the 6-1/2 inch height leaves room for ash to drop clear of the fire so coals stay hot longer between tending. It's built for wood fuel and indoor use only, and comes as a single black cast iron unit.
