About Product Overview

Penofin's Sierra stain is a transparent, oil-based penetrating formula built for exterior wood that takes real weather and real sun. Rather than sitting on top of the wood like a film-forming coating, it soaks into the grain, which lets the natural texture and character of the wood show through in a warm brown tone while still standing up to UV exposure over time.

This 5-gallon container covers 1,500 to 2,000 square feet, making it a practical choice for decks, fences, siding, and other larger outdoor wood surfaces where buying in bulk saves trips back to the store. It goes on with a brush, stain pad, or plastic pump sprayer, whichever suits the job and the surface. It's not a sealer and it's not tintable, so it's meant for people who want the true Sierra color and the penetrating oil-based performance, not a custom-mixed shade.
