About Product Overview

When the power goes out, a transfer switch is what lets you safely run a generator into your house wiring instead of running extension cords through windows. The Reliance Controls Transfer Switch Kit 30A, part of the Pro/Tran 2 line, handles up to 10 circuits so you can keep the furnace, fridge, well pump, and a few lights running on generator power while the main utility feed is safely isolated.

It comes with breakers included, so there's no separate shopping trip for circuit protection, and it's rated for both single pole and double pole loads at 120/240 volts. UL listed and built to work indoor or outdoor, it's suited for homeowners who already own or are adding a portable generator and want a permanent, code-conscious way to switch over power during storms and outages. Made in the USA.
