About Product Overview

This Selkirk 6T-36 is a 6" diameter, 36" length section of Type A insulated chimney pipe built for venting wood stoves, fireplaces, and other solid-fuel appliances through a wall or roofline. The insulated stainless steel construction is rated to handle sustained temperatures up to 1000°F, which is what Type A pipe is designed for as it carries hot flue gases safely away from combustible framing and living space.

Stainless steel means it stands up to the corrosive byproducts of combustion and holds its finish over years of use, and the boxed packaging keeps the section protected until installation. This is an indoor-rated section meant to be paired with the rest of a compatible Type A chimney system - matching components, caps, and supports - rather than used as a standalone run.
