This Selkirk 8-inch Class A chimney pipe is built for the heat that wood stoves and solid-fuel appliances actually put out, not just the mild stuff. It carries a Type HT rating, meaning it's tested to handle sustained flue temperatures up to 1000°F, plus the temperature spikes that come with chimney fires. The stainless steel construction resists the corrosion and moisture damage that plain steel pipe can't stand up to over years of use, and the insulated wall design keeps outer surfaces cooler while helping maintain proper draft.
