About Product Overview

This Sure-Temp chimney pipe from Selkirk is built for the toughest job a vent pipe can have: carrying away the heat and byproducts of a wood stove or fireplace insert without breaking down. It's Type A construction, meaning it's rated for continuous duty at high temperatures rather than just occasional spikes, and the insulated stainless steel wall keeps that heat contained instead of radiating it into nearby framing or walls. At 8 inches in diameter and 48 inches long, it's sized for straight chimney runs on wood-burning appliances that call for full Class A venting rather than a lighter-duty pipe.

Because it's stainless steel through and through, it stands up to the corrosive condensation and creosote that eat through cheaper materials over time.
