About Product Overview

The BC40Z half base connector from Simpson Strong-Tie anchors a 4x4 post while keeping the wood lifted off concrete or masonry, cutting down on moisture contact and rot at the base. Built from 18-gauge steel with a ZMax triple zinc coating, it's suited for exterior work like deck posts, pergolas, and other outdoor framing where corrosion resistance matters. Made in the USA and fastened with 16d nails for a solid, code-recognized connection.
