About Product Overview

This SKIL 7-1/4" circular saw puts the blade on the left side, which matters more than it sounds like it should - right-handed users get a clear line of sight to the cutting line instead of sighting around the motor housing. It's a corded saw built for the kind of work that doesn't stop for battery swaps: framing, sheet goods, deck boards, repeated rip cuts all day long.

The 15-amp brushed motor spins the blade up to 5300 RPM, with enough cutting depth to handle 2-1/8-inch stock straight on and 1-7/8 inches at a 45-degree bevel, so it covers dimensional lumber and angled cuts without much fuss. Bevel capacity goes to 56 degrees for steeper angle work. Blade changes use a keyed system rather than tool-free, which trades a little convenience for a more secure hold during hard use.

At just over 12 pounds it's not a lightweight, but that heft comes with the durability contractors and serious DIYers expect from a full-size saw. UL listed for safety compliance.
