About Product Overview

This is Southwire's 12/2 Romex Type NM-B WG, the yellow-jacketed non-metallic wire that's become the standard for 20-amp circuits in residential wiring. The 100-foot coil gives you enough to wire several rooms' worth of outlets, switches, or lighting circuits without running short mid-job.

Each cable carries two 12-gauge solid copper conductors plus a copper ground, wrapped in PVC insulation and a nylon jacket rated for 90°C and 600 volts. That combination holds up to the wear and tear of being fished through walls and stapled to studs, and the flame-retardant jacket adds a margin of safety once it's behind the drywall. It's UL Listed and built for indoor use - this isn't rated for direct burial, so keep it inside walls and conduit runs where it belongs.

Good fit for electricians and serious DIYers running new circuits for kitchens, workshops, or additions where 20-amp capacity is called for.
