About Product Overview

This is Southwire's 12/2 UF-B underground feeder cable, built to run power outdoors without conduit. Because it's rated for direct burial, it's the cable you reach for when you're wiring a detached garage, feeding a shed, running power to a pump, or setting up outdoor lighting circuits that need to go straight into the ground or through wet locations.

The 12-gauge solid copper conductors carry a 20-amp rating at 600 volts, with a copper ground wire included for a complete two-conductor plus ground setup. PVC insulation and a nylon jacket keep moisture out and stand up to sunlight and UV exposure, so above-ground runs hold up as well as buried ones. It's flame retardant, UL listed, and rated for 90-degree temperatures, giving you the margin electricians look for on outdoor and wet-location work. This 100-foot gray coil is enough for most single-run jobs without leftover waste to store.
