About Product Overview

This is Southwire's 8 AWG stranded copper THHN in a 500' spool, insulated for a 600-volt rating and built to handle 90°C environments. The copper conductor is wrapped in flame-retardant thermoplastic insulation with a nylon jacket, giving it the toughness needed for conduit runs in panels, subpanels, and circuits carrying a 55-amp load. Stranded copper pulls easier through conduit than solid wire, which matters on longer indoor runs. Red jacket color helps with circuit identification when you're wiring multiple runs side by side.
