The Square D QO2020CP is a tandem circuit breaker that lets you add a second 20-amp circuit in a panel space that would normally hold just one. That's a real advantage when you're out of room in a QO series panel and don't want to install a subpanel or run new feeder wire. Electricians and remodelers reach for tandem breakers like this one when finishing a basement, wiring a workshop, or adding a couple of extra outlets to a room that's maxed out its existing circuit.
It's a plug-in single-pole unit rated for 120/240 volts, built for indoor use, and carries both UL and CSA listings so it meets the standard safety codes inspectors look for. Snap it into a compatible QO load center and you've effectively doubled the circuits available in that one space.
