About Product Overview

STABILA built the Type 81 S torpedo level for the jobs where a full-size level just won't fit. At 10 inches long, it slips into tool pouches and tight spots like conduit runs, cabinet gaps, and pipe layouts, while still holding the kind of accuracy pros expect from a German-made tool.

The aluminum body keeps it light without feeling flimsy, and the two vials give you both level and plumb readings in one compact tool. With a rated accuracy of 1/32 of an inch, it's precise enough for finish carpentry, HVAC work, plumbing, and electrical installs where small errors add up fast. It's not magnetic, so it's best used freehand rather than clipped to steel framing or pipe, and it comes packaged one per box in STABILA's yellow finish for easy spotting on a busy job site or crowded truck bed.
