About Product Overview

The Basement Watchdog SIT-50D is a 1/2 HP submersible sump pump built with a cast iron housing for durability and better heat dissipation than plastic models. It moves up to 4,400 gallons per hour at open discharge, and still delivers 3,540 GPH at a 10-foot head, so it keeps working as water has to travel up and out of the pit. Bottom suction intake helps it draw down water levels further, and the dual reed switch is a solid, low-maintenance way to trigger on and off automatically. With a 1-1/2 inch outlet, 115V AC power, and a 10-foot cord, it's built for basements and crawlspaces prone to flooding. CSA and UL compliance back up its safety and construction for year-round use.
