About Product Overview

When the power goes out during a storm—or your primary sump pump can't keep up—the Basement Watchdog BWD12-120C steps in on battery power to keep water moving out of the pit. It's a dedicated backup pump, not a primary, designed to run alongside your main system and take over automatically when it's needed most.

The 1/3 HP motor draws from a 12-volt battery and moves up to 3,500 gallons per hour at full output, or 2,200 GPH against 10 feet of head. A dual reed switch handles activation, and the bottom suction intake with a 1.5-inch outlet is built to move water efficiently without clogging. The thermoplastic housing resists the corrosion and moisture that wear down metal pumps in a damp sump pit.
