About Product Overview

Tall Fescue holds up where a lot of other grasses give up, and that's the point of this blend from Water Saver. It's built for drought and heat tolerance, so it keeps its color and density through the stretches of summer that turn thinner lawns brown. One 25-pound bag covers up to 10,000 square feet, which makes it a practical choice for overseeding an existing tall fescue lawn or filling in bare spots left by foot traffic, dog runs, or dead patches from last season.

This is a transitional zone seed, meaning it's suited to regions that sit between the northern cool-season belt and the southern warm-season turf, where summers get hot but winters still bring real cold. It handles both sun and shade, so you're not stuck reseeding just the open areas while the shaded corners stay patchy. Put it down in spring or fall when soil temps favor germination, and it's packaged and bagged in the USA.
